Breakthrough social learning platform with innovative teaching, learning, parental and mobility tools

ITWorx, the Middle East’s leading software professional services firm and the global expert in e-learning products, announced today its participation, as an exhibitor, in BETT, the largest education technology exhibition in the world. During this flagship annual event, held from 12-15 January 2011 at Olympia, London, ITWorx will introduce its newest version of CLGTM (Connected Learning Gateway) and its add-on products to UK schools.

The new CLG 2.0 is an engaging, multilingual social learning platform that is intuitive for teachers, attractive for students, inviting for parents, decision-enabler for principals and easy-to-handle for administrators. This new version makes e-learning accessible for all in classrooms, at homes and on handheld devices.

“The new CLG empowers teachers with effective tools for planning lessons, authoring content, managing attendance, assignments, exams, and grades, as well as monitoring behaviour. The platform, also, enables teacher to conduct live lectures and track student performance,” says Ghada Maher, Products Manager, Education, ITWorx.

The platform wraps up learning in the fun of social networking. Students can create their own e-Portfolios, set their own individual learning plans, and experience self-paced learning while sharing evaluation and assessment with teachers and peers. They can depend on visual and audible tools to interact within the education community via online discussions, forums, blogs, messaging, wall-to-wall comments and multimedia attachments.

“Mobile learning is now integral to the education process. The new CLG enables parents to partake more active roles leveraging their different handheld devices. With mParentTM, our new mobile application, parents can easily monitor the academic performance of their children and connect with teachers and school board,” adds Maher.

School administrators are provided with wizard-based tools that facilitate their daily administrative and operational activities. CLG also integrates with Microsoft [email protected] technology to render the education process cost-effective and integrates with the e-content of different content providers to provide a comprehensive e-learning solution.

It is worth mentioning that CLG 2.0 have been launched to the Middle East markets in regional events such as GITEX and BETT Middle East in 2010 where it witnessed a huge take-up. ITWorx has entered into a number of cooperation agreements with some key educational institutions, chief among them; the endorsement of an agreement with the Ministry of Education in the UAE, and a reseller agreement with Maarif for Education and Training in KSA, each catering to a huge numbers of schools in the region.
