Cairo, December 27th, 2004 – ITWorx announced today that it has successfully completed a formal Capability Maturity Model integration Level 2 appraisal. The Software Engineering Institute’s (SEI) CMMI is a world wide recognized quality certificate for software that ascertains, through the use of independent appraisers, the maturity level of company software processes.

The CMMI Level 2 appraisal is an important milestone on the company’s process improvement journey. “We sought CMMI as a path for process improvement rather than merely a certificate of quality. Risk planning is now possible with CMMI, as well as better process on both the project, and organizational levels” Said Reem El Ansary, ITWorx Quality Manager “Everyone at ITWorx was committed to complete the assessment, senior management had the commitment and confidence to enforce and implement the processes, and grant the required resources to complete the assessment” she continued.

The SEI’s core purpose is to help others make measured improvements in their software engineering capabilities. The SEI employs only 100 lead assessors worldwide capable of granting this certification.

“We noticed a strong commitment from management to support project process improvement related initiatives” said Rakesh Singh, Lead Assessor, “The presence of a common of organizational processes, sets a strong foundation for higher maturity levels at ITWorx” he continued
