AuthorExpert attracts teachers and educationalists attention with its convenient design, tools and cost

After the successful inauguration of BETT UK 2011 efficiencies, yesterday, ITWorx, the Middle East’s leading software professional services firm and the global expert in e-learning products, revealed the increased take up of its content authoring application; AuthorExpertTM, by schools worldwide.

ITWorx who is participating in BETT UK, the largest education technology exhibition in the world, held from 12-15 January 2011 at Olympia, London, has been encouraging event visitors to try AuthorExpert to evaluate for themselves this value-added tool for teachers and instructors at K12 education institutions.

Compliant with SCORM 2004 global standards and tested against most famous management systems, AuthorExpert is a desktop application that enables teachers to create and publish rich and interactive e-lessons that students can take in class or at any other time.

The application allows teachers to embed any multimedia content needed. From photos to videos, audio narrations to flash animations, AuthorExpert takes a class lesson to a different level of interactivity and accessibility.

Since its launch back in 2009, AuthorExpert has been highly demanded by schools who either adopt a virtual learning environment or who use ITWorx CLG (Connect Learning Gateway), the breakthrough social learning platform.

The application is based on Microsoft technology, a key element making it a friendly application that doesn’t alienate the teacher. Anyone, who is familiar with Microsoft Office applications, will be able to efficiently use AuthorExpert, which has been laid out with a similar interface to Microsoft Office 2007.

Adaptable in two languages and with seamless integration features, AuthorExpert works harmoniously with other Microsoft Office applications to compile information from other documents and presentations.

In addition to the fast and easy process of preparing lessons’ content, in which teachers used to spend countless hours working on, the application is a super tool for quizzes! It stores all the questions the teacher enters, categorises them according to difficulty levels, and populates a questions bank that could be reused anytime.

Instead of wasting teachers’ time, the preset e-lessons templates allow them to put together a full-element communicative lesson, maximising in-class time and in-class activity. Students can also access the lesson anytime to use it as a reference or to catch up on anything they might have missed during class.

Visitors are welcome to attend live demos on the company’s e-learning platform, the CLG. Live demos are conducted twice a day, from 11:30 am to 12:00 noon, and from 3:30 pm to 4:00 pm.
