Moving on the path of creating innovative citizen-centric solutions serving the region, ITWorx won the development of a new solution that enables the employees and contractors working at ADCO to efficiently issue permissions prior to handling hazardous jobs. The Electronic Permits to Work System (ePTW), allows them to fill-in their requests in online electronic forms, which saves on the required paper work and effort for handling the processes manually. The proposed solution will be based on Microsoft .Net Framework, in addition ITWorx will leverage its strategic alliance with BPM leader, K2 in using BlackPearl for automating the processes behind the issuance of the permits. K2 Business Objects and SQL Server 2008 will also be used for implementing a comprehensive BI and reporting solution

Ahmed Badr, ITWorx Vice President of Professional Services, was invited, as a speaker, to Microsoft Global Exchange Conference (MGX), an internal Microsoft conference for Microsoft global sales representatives held by Microsoft to celebrate the accomplishments of the last year and communicate the strategy for the coming year to their teams worldwide. This year, MGX took place in Atlanta, USA. During the event, Badr gave an influential presentation on BingMyWay, the new iPhone application.

BingMyWay is a pioneering iPhone application that promotes citizens’ engagement through a proactive reporting scheme of incidents and traffic conditions which are then stored on Windows Azure and visually displayed on a map on the iPhone and web.

ITWorx delivers a new e-service for Ministry of Labor (MoL) in Saudi Arabia, as an addition to MoL new online portal that was previously provided by ITWorx. Part of the national e-Government initiative, the new service will allow MoL to better serve both corporations within the Kingdom; by offering a simpler tool to register their foreign labor or employees, and government officials; through having an easier access to the employees profiles and data.

Concerned with the development and use of the Kingdom’s human resources, MoL is responsible for manpower planning, labor relations, and the general monitoring of all matters relating to labor and employment affairs. The Ministry is also tasked with processing labor disputes, employment in the private sector, and labor permits.

ITWorx was sub-contracted to provide a solution that would consolidate previously disparate MoL systems, provide e-services to the public and for internal use, and uphold an up-to-date and accurate data repository. The new centralized and bilingual (Arabic/English) portal will allow citizens to find MoL information, forms, and announcements in an easy way through a single unified interface, as well as engage MoL services online using a single sign-on procedure; the portal also offers an e-employment service.

ITWorx has revamped Saudi Airlines’ new portal (Phase I) in a challenging time frame of two months.

The need for Saudi Airlines to uplift their web presence emerged as a result of strong competition within the air transport industry. ITWorx built a competitive and all-inclusive web portal to meet passengers’ expectations from the point of making their reservation till reaching their destination. Now, with the new website, it is much easier for Saudi Airlines to deliver news, important announcements, and even flight promotions to passengers. Moreover, the portal is the main entry point to different e-services such as Flight Booking, Hotel Booking, Flight Information, and Online Check-in.
