A desktop authoring tool, AuthorExpert will help teachers create interactive e-learning content in a very short time and at a reduced cost.

For e-learning systems to deliver value to all stakeholders, being able to author learning content is critical. Teachers need to disseminate learning materials electronically in a way that is accessible to every student taught. Teachers also need to prepare assignments or homework and collect student attempts in an easy and flexible manner.

To make the experience of creating a lesson effortless, AuthorExpert is bundled with a set of pre-designed lesson templates. Teachers can enrich their lessons by embedding documents, images, multimedia files, or audio narration, making them illustrative and interactive. AuthorExpert is compliant with SCORM 2004 standards, providing 11 question types whereby created questions can be stored in the question bank for re-use. AuthorExpert is also designed with an Office 2007-like interface that supports English and Arabic, and as such entails a zero-learning curve for teachers.
