Shedding more light on the comprehensive CLG 2.0 with new learning, mobility and content tools
ITWorx, the Middle East leading software professional services firm and the global expert in e-learning products, announced, yesterday, its participation in BETT Middle East, the leading Education Technology Exhibition held for the first time in the region, from the 21st to 22nd of November, 2010.
ITWorx, the e-learning guru who is an adamant participator and supporter of the region’s e-learning initiatives, will be taking part in BETT Middle East to further boost its comprehensive social learning platform, ITWorx CLG (Connected Learning Gateway) version 2.0.

Under Encyclopedia Britannica booth, themed “classroom of the future", ITWorx will demonstrate how Encyclopædia Britannica Online School Edition (http://school.eb.co.uk) elite content is accessible from the CLG platform. Teachers, as well as students, will have an instant access to a pool of resources of rich and updated library of educational content including hundreds of articles, researches, illustrations, interactive games, multimedia resources from Britannica.
"We will be showcasing our education solutions with our partner in learning; Britannica, the leading rich content provider worldwide," says Medhat Karam, General Manager, Education, ITWorx.
"AuthorExpertTM is ITWorx leading content authoring tool that enables teachers use this plethora of multimedia enriched and targeted material to easily create e-lessons and assignments for different K12 age-groups, adds Karam".
On the other hand, in this event, ITWorx will showcase how CLG further boosts parental involvement in children's academic life by accommodating parents' needs of keeping informed with updates on the go.
"Leveraging the power and spread of mobile devices, such as Nokia, Blackberry and iPhone, CLG 2.0 promotes parental engagement," Karam adds, "and by sending parents all their children’s news, updates, due exams, assignments, and appointments on their personal mobile phones, parents can always monitor their children’s academic activities."
The event will witness ITWorx education team shaking hands with regional leaders who used prior versions of CLG and contracted to use the new one as well as prospect local authorities and private schools who want to shift into e-learning.

CLG 2.0 warps up students e-learning tools in the fun of social networking to create an exciting and personlised education experience for students. Students create their own e-portfolios, enjoy self-paced learning, and share evaluation and assessment with teachers and peers. Students can further create individual learning plans and define their targets to meet personal or academic objectives, in addition to composing, grouping and sharing personal collections of documents, photos and multimedia files through e-libraries.
CLG is built on Microsoft SharePoint technology, which makes the platform readily easy-to-use, scalable and customizable to accommodate the diverse needs of schools in the region. The platform integrates with Microsoft Live@edu technology to render the education process cost-effective.
