ITWorx announced today the culmination of its sponsorship program of the Egyptian students competing in the worldwide Microsoft Imagine Cup held in Seoul, Korea. For the second consecutive year, ITWorx is committed to proactively engage the community as an integral practice in its corporate strategy.

The Imagine Cup is the World’s Premier Student Technology Competition. In its fifth year, the competition calls upon the most talented students worldwide to embark on the challenge to "Imagine a world where technology enables a better education for all."

ITWorx sponsored the Egyptian “Trouble Ticket” team who created “EduCare”, a software application that uses artificial intelligence to customize school programs for those with mental or physical learning inhibitions.

Wael Amin, ITWorx President said: “This is our second year of sponsoring the winners of the Egyptian qualifiers for the Imagine Cup. Their ambition, innovation and determination meet our outlook to change the world through technology and software development, and having fun doing it.”

The “Trouble Ticket” team spent eight months researching and developing their solution in the field, with specialized education practitioners in Egypt. Two of the team members, Ahmed Fathalla and Tarek El-Gaaly, are students in the American University in Cairo (AUC), while the other two members, Noha Radwan and Mohamed Radwan, are students in the Faculty of Engineering at Cairo University. The 2007 Imagine Cup Worldwide Finals are being held in Seoul, South Korea, from Aug. 5-11, 2007. Tens of teams from all over the world are competing to leverage the power of technology to improve the lives of millions of people around the world.
