ITWorx announced today that operations in its new development center, located in Nasr City, Cairo will begin on Sunday, July 10, 2005. The new office represents the third development center in Egypt.

The new development center is located in the 6th district of Nasr City, approximately 5 kilometers away from the first development center in the Nasr City Free Zone. It occupies the 5th and 6th floors of the Regina Business Suite spanning one thousand and fifty square meters, and is estimated to accommodate one hundred and fifty software engineers by the end of the year.

“Good market conditions have challenged us to find new ways to grow, and to grow healthy” said Sherif Amer, Vice President of Human Resources and Operations at ITWorx. “We look forward to the opportunity to grow our business, and are excited about the challenges it presents”, he continued.

The launch of the Nasr City development center represents the first phase of a one year expansion plan for ITWorx. Phase two comprises the construction of two new floors at the Free Zone development center. Upon completion of the project, the office will span approximately four thousand square meters and building occupancy is expected to reach four hundred software engineers. Phase two will be completed during 2006.

The new center uses VoIP technology to ease communication across all remote offices; it also boasts two 1 MB redundant leased lines to facilitate one-to-one video conferencing between employees and with clients.
