As ITWorx Management Information Systems Director, Waleed’s role focuses on providing strategic direction to the company’s Management Information Systems and infrastructure. His role encompasses developing and commissioning new systems, applications, hardware configuration, workstations, servers, and networks, in addition to ensuring data security of systems, applications, network, equipment, software, and access methods. His objective is to ensure that ITWorx leverages information technology for competitive advantage.

Waleed joined ITWorx in May of 2006 and since then has been working diligently on upgrading infrastructure performance and availability, improving helpdesk availability and service level attainment as well as establishing internal application development capability.

Prior to ITWorx, Waleed held a number of key positions with big names in the United States like Microsoft and the University of Nevada in Reno, Nevada. And since 1994, he has amassed international IT expertise in software development, applications and network support, and IT systems management from a number of renowned establishments.

Waleed holds a Masters degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Nevada where he also completed post-graduate studies in IT and programming. He has several published works in 1996, 1997, and 1999 and is fluent in English, French, and Arabic.
