Regardless of the industry, successful companies are built around successful people. Sherif should know. He is a master of hiring the right people. And keeping them.
In a little over a year, Sherif has helped ITWorx attract and retain some of the best and brightest minds in the industry. Sherif realized early on that many employees in hi-tech firms today are hired directly out of school and have little or no work experience. It's one thing to be a brilliant programmer, quite another to work with others in a close-knit team environment. To overcome this, Sherif and his HR department created a series of initiatives designed not only to select the best candidates, but also to ensure they keep motivated and fit in as part of the ITWorx family.
Sherif's initiatives are paying off - the quality of recruits is high, and retention rates are now some of the highest in the industry. Through generous benefit programs, on-going skills training and career guidance, new employees adapt more quickly to the realities of the working world, and at the same time have fun doing it.
Prior to ITWorx, Sherif was HR manager at Arab Development Group, a heavy equipment supplier, where he was responsible for all personnel, training, and administration issues. He has also held key positions at PW Incorporated in South Carolina, and at various 5-star hotel complexes.
Sherif holds a B.Sc. in Business Administration from Charleston Southern University in South Carolina and a Diploma in Risk Management from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
