Hesham Kassem joined ITWorx in August 2008 as its Chief Financial Officer. In this position, he is responsible for finance and accounting operations and for setting the organization’s financial strategies. Hesham brings over 20 years of experience in financial leadership and management to ITWorx as well as organizational development.

Since 2002, Hesham served as the head of finance at Showtime Arabia covering the operations of Egypt and Dubai. In particular, he played a leading role in setting up Showtime Arabia business practice in Egypt, from the introduction and management of a novice type of business, to overseeing the financial activities, issues, and operations.

Previously, in 1994, Hesham was the financial controller at PepsiCo Inc. in Egypt, initially in charge of the food segment; and later in 1999, he moved to lead the beverage segment after a local acquisition that included 11 business entities. He was responsible for supporting the acquisition, establishing the finance process and department, instigating the accounting system, and reporting the overall financial status to the Head Office in New York and Dubai.

Hesham began his career in 1986 at Arthur Anderson, where he held a number of finance positions in different locations in Europe, Egypt, and the Gulf, becoming Finance Manager in 1989. He is a graduate of Cairo University with a bachelor’s degree in Commerce and a specialization in Finance. Hesham is a Public Accountant, a member of the Egyptian Association of Auditors and Accountants, as well as a member of the Egyptian Society of Taxation (MEST).
