Gilles De Clerck,

Gilles has more than 15 years experience in business strategy and finance, of which more than 6 years were spent in the MENA region with Booz Allen Hamilton. He worked in France as a Senior Manager with Vertone, a strategy and management consulting firm, where he advised SFR, France’s second largest mobile operator that is partly owned by Vodafone, on new strategic product launches.

Prior to joining Booz Allen Hamilton, Gilles was one of the founding shareholders of Webraska Mobile Technologies, a French start-up that pioneered the off-board GPS navigation on mobile phones. As Regional Manager for Webraska, he led the company’s expansion in Scandinavia including striking a technological cooperation agreement with Ericsson.

Gilles is a Senior Manager of EuroMena Fund and sits on the board of the Egyptian companies, Wadi Holding SAE and Porta Rotpack SAE.

Gilles holds a graduate degree from the ESSEC School of Management (Paris) and a Bachelor degree in Commerce from the McGill University (Canada).

Gilles resides with his wife and two children in Beirut, Lebanon.
