Elie Fernaini joined ITWorx in March 2010 as its Chief Financial Officer. In this position, he is responsible for all the financial operations of ITWorx; overseeing the financial strategy, management, accounting and reporting for ITWorx business across its multiple locations.

Fernaini brings to ITWorx over 20 years of experience in the areas of corporate finance, financial management and business development management, in addition to his expertise in the fields of telecommunications, pharmaceuticals, food and cosmetics.

Prior to ITWorx, since 2006, Fernaini served as the CFO at MTN Group in Guinea Conakry, which has a subscriber base of 1.25 million and approximately $135 million in turnover. Fernaini played a leading role in setting up MTN business practice in Guinea, from the introduction, set up and management of the subsidiary, to overseeing the financial activities, planning and budget control, revenue assurance, and supply chain management.

Earlier in his career, Fernaini was also Group Financial Manager at Virgin Megastore Group in Lebanon. At the multi-faceted Malia Group, he was Group Financial Manager and, more recently, Group Business Development Manager where he handled the legal and financial aspects of the company’s IPO.

Fernaini spent eleven years in France where he was responsible for internal audit management, accounting management, treasury planning, and instigating new accounting and budgeting systems at Groupe Hubert and Magneti Marelli France respectively.

Fernaini received his bachelor’s degree in Business with a specialization in Finance from the Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers, CNAM.  He earned his MBA in 2001, with a major in Finance, from the top ranking international business school, École Supérieure de Commerce de Paris–École Européenne des Affaires (ESCP-EAP).
