Ahmed Badr, M.Sc, Vice President, Professional Services
As the Vice President of Professional Services, the highest technical post at ITWorx, Ahmed is responsible for overseeing the entire development process, participating in the delivery of the service, as well as managing engagements with clients on the regional level. He is actively involved with the Management team in defining the company strategy and vision, and aligning the projects/resources to move towards this strategy, while defining the technology directions for the company development, and technical experience.
Ahmed guided several successful projects ranging from web applications and intranets to corporate portals including: UTC Corporate Portal, Vodafone Egypt live! web and WAP portals, FileWay, Otis, Corel Resero, Net Perfect, SmartMove, Quattro Pro OLAP integration, and Microsoft's Prayer Times which is an Outlook plug-in.
As an industry expert, Ahmed has been selected as one of few Microsoft Regional Directors to provide a vital link between Microsoft and the developer community in Africa and Middle East region. His Microsoft technologies expertise focuses on .NET development, ASP, Business Solutions, and SharePoint Products.
Ahmed holds a B.Sc. in Computer Science, with a minor in Electronics, from the American University in Cairo (AUC) in 1994, as well as a M.Sc. in Computer Science, which he earned from the American University in 2002. In 2003, he successfully completed USAID's Executive Development Program, a 15-month training program for senior Egyptian business executives aiming to adopt world-class management practices.
